Alzheimer's Family Relief Program

In recent years it became increasingly difficult to generate the donor support required to sustain a program that provides financial assistance to families and caregivers impacted by Alzheimer's disease. It was after much thought and regret that the Board of Directors of the American Health Assistance Foundation decided to close the Alzheimer's Family Relief Program (AFRP).  Although this was a very worthwhile program designed to help the families and caregivers of Alzheimer's patients most in need, the amount of money generated through fundraising was not enough to support a continuing program.

The American Health Assistance Foundation remains committed to its support of high quality research for Alzheimer's disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma at institutions worldwide.

If you have any questions or would like to obtain information on alternative sources of assistance, please contact Ms. Kara Hurst at khurst@ahaf.org or call 1-800-437-2423 and ask for extension 161.
