The American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funding research on and educating the public about age-related and degenerative diseases. Founded in 1973, our three biomedical research programs include Alzheimer's Disease Research, National Glaucoma Research and Macular Degeneration Research.

AHAF publishes a variety of books, booklets, pamphlets, articles and newsletters delivering the latest research findings to the public and helping patients and families cope with the debilitating diseases that affect our aging population. We can also provide experts to interview, including scientists.

This website is one of the most comprehensive medical sites on the web and has received several awards. You may use this website as your online authority on Alzheimer's disease, glaucoma and macular degeneration. The material on this site, including photos, may be reproduced. We only ask that credit be given to the American Health Assistance Foundation or one of its three programs.
