AHAF 2011 Golf Tournament
The American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF) sponsored a charity golf tournament on September 26, 2011 at Whiskey Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, Maryland. The proceeds benefitted Alzheimer’s Disease Research, Macular Degeneration Research, and National Glaucoma Research, programs of (AHAF).

Community Day
The American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF) and Asbury Methodist Village partnered to host a special community day on Wednesday, September 22 as part of Healthy Aging Month. Events were open to the public, free of charge and included an age-related disease expert panel focusing on cutting edge research on Alzheimer’s disease, glaucoma and macular degeneration, and a screening and discussion of the independent film Carried Away to bring awareness about these devastating diseases and to share care giving tips. Glaucoma Lecture and Discussion
The American Health Assistance Foundation and the Asbury Methodist Village Low Vision Group presented a Glaucoma Lecture and Discussion on January 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. Dr. Guy Eakin, Director of Research Grants at the American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF), presented information concerning the most up to date, ground breaking research in the area of glaucoma. Mini Health Fair and Workshops
The American Health Assistance Foundation and the Asbury Methodist Village partnered to host a mini health fair and workshops on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There was a macular degeneration presentation by Dr. Jacque Duncan from the University of California-San Francisco, nutrition workshops, and Part 2 of the HBO Documentary—The Alzheimer’s Project, Momentum in Science Series. Community Screening and Discussion of the HBO Series, The Alzheimer's Project
The American Health Assistance Foundation and the Asbury Methodist Village partnered to host a special community screening and discussion of the HBO Series, The Alzheimer’s Project to bring awareness to the community about this devastating disease and to share caregiving tips and information on cutting edge research.
